Dear Investor,

The traditional wealth management model is broken. Conflicts of interest, investment portfolios designed around the firm's needs rather than yours, little to no real financial planning, and fees that grow automatically every year whether you're receiving additional value or not.

The compunding fees were the hardest part to justify. Under the traditional model, what you pay for wealth management most closely resembles a wealth tax: pay more because you have more, regardless of whether you're receiving better advice, more attention, or greater results. A family with $5 million pays twice as much as a family with $2 million for the same planning and portfolio management.

Most advisors charge more simply because your portfolio grew. Not because the advice got better. Not because the planning became more complex. Just because the portfolio got bigger. That model has never made sense to me. Arcadia was built to give high net worth investors and families a new option for working with a financial advisor.

Our flat fee is $18,000 per year. It covers integrated financial, investment, and tax planning for every family we work with. It does not change when your portfolio grows, the market rallies, or life gets more complicated.

I built Arcadia to provide an experience and outcome that surpasses what you could achieve at a traditional wealth management firm — rigorous planning, a customized investment portfolio optimized for taxes and fees, and a fiduciary who is genuinely on your side.

I look forward to partnering with you and your family on your financial success.

About the Founder

My wealth management career began in 2008, at the very beginning of the Global Financial Crisis. That timing wasn't easy, but it shaped everything about how I approach being an advisor. Over the past 18 years, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of families invest wisely, retire with confidence, and make sound financial decisions. I've enjoyed every day of it.

Before starting Arcadia, I served as an equity Partner at one of the largest RIAs in the country. By most measures, it was a great situation. But I found myself pulled in two directions. At home, I had two young children growing up faster than I could believe and I was missing too much of it by always being in the office. I had also become genuinely critical of the assets-under-management (AUM) fee model that dominates our industry. Charging a percentage of someone's portfolio — where revenue grows automatically as a client’s wealth grows, regardless of the work you do never sat right with me. So I built something different.

Arcadia Private Wealth exists to serve a select group of individuals and families as a flat-fee, fiduciary advisor. One transparent annual fee that is not based on the size of your portfolio. Just honest, comprehensive financial planning and wealth management to help you retire and live your best life.

InvestmentNews’ 40 Under 40

When I'm not serving my clients, I'm usually somewhere near the coast in San Diego (office is in Cardiff by the Sea and home is in Carlsbad), spending time with friends, playing squash and firing up the BBQ. I enjoy writing about the markets and financial planning and have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, InvestmentNews, and CNBC.

My greatest joy in life is spending time with my beautiful wife, Natalie, and our two amazing daughters Gia and Demi.
